The Sydney Chinese Wedding Expo is the only one of its
kind, and it will be held this year on Sunday 7
May 2017 at Starship Sydney, Darling Harbour. Last
year, we had over 300 guests walk through the door
and we will be expecting more this year.
The event
will feature a complete wedding show with a How to
Plan Your Wedding Seminar and fashion parade. If you
are working in the Chinese wedding market, you would
know that the Chinese wedding referral rate is much
higher than any other group and is an excellent
market to work with because of high caliber clients.

1. Where and when
will the event be held?
The Event will be held in Starship Sydney (Kings St
Wharf 4, off Lime St) on Sunday 7 May 2017.
Attendance is by invitation only. The event will
feature Sydney's top wedding suppliers holding
stalls and will also include an exciting full stage programme.
2. How much does it cost to join?
Stall costs are from $900-$1800 depending on the
industry. Price on Application.
3. How many people are you expecting to arrive?
We are expecting over 300 wedding couples to walk
through our doors.
The Chinese wedding market is one of the most
powerful and centralised wedding groups there are.
The Sydney Asian Wedding Expo is one of the most
heavily featured events in the Asian wedding
calendar. In 2015 we were featured twice on Sydney's
#1 rated radio station 2GB in two 15 minute
interviews. In
addition,
the
event will be promoted by several Chinese media
outlets through Event Wedding's own magazine E+Wedding which has a distribution of 2000 copies in
Sydney CBD and surrounding areas. Furthermore, Event
Weddings and Starship Sydney is also seen on
television on TVBA so it is a well established brand
in the Chinese community. Most importantly, we will
be engaging in a strong postering campaign across
Asian centres including Sydney, Hurstville,
Strathfield, Parramatta and Chatswood. We will also
be advertising in social Media targeting Asian
engaged couples.
4. How many exhibitors will be there?
We want to fit in a reasonable range of wedding
suppliers to cover all the important elements.
Starship Sydney will host up to 30 stalls but
categories are strictly limited from 1-4 depending
on the industry.
5. Can I guarantee my spot at the expo?
We cannot guarantee your spot at the expo. We will
receive all the applications and based on time we
have received it, category limits and your
preferences. We will do our best to ensure that all
our partners get an opportunity to display their
products. If we are unable to host you this
time, we can still include your information on our
website and promotional materials in our showbag.

What is the space given at the expo?
A 1.5m trestle table space will be provided to each
exhibitor unless through other arrangement. Electricity
and backboards may be provided at a small extra
charge. Roll up banners may be brought. Exhibitors
may also include marketing materials in showbags.
8. Can I sponsor prizes?
There will be a prize draw time at the end of every
stage session. If you donate a prize, it will be
included in all information given to guests and read
out at the venue. Prize donations must come with no
strings attached.
9 Can I submit materials to the showbag?
All Event Weddings partners may submit items to the
showbag even if they do not exhibit at the event.
10. What is the bump-in and bump-out time?
Information included in Expo Information Pack.

Event Weddings is a mid-upper tier Wedding Services
Agency aimed at helping wedding couples find their
perfect wedding service. Over 85% of our clients are
from a Chinese heritage and most are young
professionals. Like a professional travel agent,
when clients come in, we find out what their needs
are and propose to them a customised mix of wedding
suppliers that would help them create a perfect
wedding based on their requirements and their price
range. Wedding businesses can join Event Wedding's
Partnership Programme by invitation. We only select
Sydney's best and highest quality wedding suppliers.
Unlike
most referral schemes, we will take time to learn
your product, skills and expertise. We will make the
sale for you and help you do all the follow up so
you will only need to deal with us for all the
paperwork, but you are free to contact the client as
you wish. In return, we receive an agreed client
service fee for the work that we do for you.

completed sales.
